Here's a look at what you can expect at the 14th & Kennedy Street Farmers Market at 5500 Colorado Ave this Saturday, from 9am - 1pm. As always, it’s open rain or shine!NEW this week:
The Shepherd Park branch of the DC Public library has prepared a day of fun activities for the kiddos. Story time is at 10am, and then they'll have crafting and more the rest of the market day.
DDOT Rock Creek East II Livability Study - DDOT will work with members of the community to Identify specific opportunities to improve accommodations for people walking, biking, riding the bus, driving, and making deliveries. At the end of the study, DDOT will provide recommendations such as:
* Enhanced pedestrian crossings
* More accessible bus stops
* Intersection safety
* Increased green spaces
* Attractive streetscapes
* Signage for better driver information
* Updates to traffic signal times, or
* Speed controls in sensitive area
The study area boundaries are: Military Road and Missouri Avenue to the north; North Capitol Street and Hawaii Avenue to the east; Allison Street, Rock Creek Church Road, New Hampshire Avenue, Spring Road, 16th Street, and Piney Branch Parkway to the south; and Rock Creek Park to the west.

Groff's Content Farm Here are the featured pre made entrees this week from Groff's Content Farm & Rebo's Pocket Cafe: Chicken pot pie, lasagna, tamale pie, chicken enchilada. They also have their delicious: pastured Berkshire pork & pork sausages, fresh free range hen and duck eggs, free range whole chickens and parts, and grass fed biodynamic beef.
Enjoy Tacos El Tianguis (and their phenomenal guisado or stew style tacos) plus breakfast eggs and horchatas.
